Hornets Assign Caleb Martin And Jalen McDaniels To Greensboro

Charlotte Hornets President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Mitch Kupchak announced today that the team has assigned forward Caleb Martin and forward Jalen McDaniels to the Greensboro Swarm, the team’s NBA G League affiliate.

Caleb Martin has appeared in three games in his rookie campaign with the Hornets where he has averaged 1.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 8.3 min per game. The rookie forward returns to the Swarm averaging 19.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 blocks in 32.9 minutes per game. Martin went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft and was signed by the Hornets on Oct. 19.

McDaniels has appeared in one game for the Hornets totaling two points and a rebound in three minutes of play. The San Diego State product returns to the Swarm averaging 18.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.6 minutes per game in his rookie season. McDaniels was drafted with the 52nd overall selection of the 2019 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets.

This will be the third G League assignment for McDaniels and the fourth for Martin in the 2019-20 season.
