Damien Wilkins Returns To Swarm

The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced today the addition of guard Damien Wilkins as a returning rights player. Wilkins, who began this season as a member of the Indiana Pacers, returns to Greensboro after appearing in 48 games with the Swarm in 2016-17.
Wilkins (6-6, 225) rejoins the Swarm after playing 19 games with Indiana this season. The 10-year NBA veteran signed with the Pacers during offseason after an impressive inaugural season in Greensboro.
The Washington, North Carolina, native saw action in 48 games (30 starts) and averaged 14.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 31.5 minutes per game in 2016-17.
The former University of Georgia standout began his career with the Seattle SuperSonics/Oklahoma City Thunder franchise after going undrafted in 2004. In addition to the SuperSonics (2004-09), Wilkins has suited up for the Minnesota Timberwolves (2009-10), Atlanta Hawks (2011), Detroit Pistons (2011-12) and Philadelphia 76ers (2012-13). Wilkins played internationally and in the G League prior to his return to an NBA court this season.
The Greensboro Swarm return to action on Friday, February 2, when they head to the Westchester Knicks for a 7 p.m. tip at the Westchester County Center. The Swarm’s next home game at the Fieldhouse is on February 7, against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at 7 p.m.
