Greensboro Swarm Acquires Donte Ingram

The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, today announced that the team completed a trade with the Texas Legends (Dallas Mavericks affiliate). Greensboro acquires the returning player rights to Donte Ingram in exchange for the returning player rights to Malik Pope. The trade is not subject to a physical.
Ingram, 23, had a standout career player for Loyola University Chicago from 2014-18, which also included leading the team to the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament Final Four. He is one of 11 Ramblers to record at least 1,200 points and 600 rebounds in school history. Undrafted in 2018, he suited up for the Legends last season and averaged 3.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 43 games.
A Chicago native, Ingram graduated from Simeon High School after transferring from Danville High School.
Pope, 23, appeared in 20 games with the Swarm in 2018-19. The former San Diego State University Aztec averaged 6.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in his lone season in Greensboro.
