By Greensboro Swarm Staff /August 26, 2019

The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League Affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced today that their 2019-20 season will tip off on the road against the Erie BayHawks (affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans) on Saturday, November 9. The Swarm open at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex with the second annual School Day Game on Wednesday, November 13, against the Westchester Knicks (New York Knicks).

“We are very excited and invigorated heading into our fourth season in the Triad,” Swarm President Steve Swetoha said. “Our fan support and energy continue to make the Fieldhouse one of the best atmospheres in the NBA G League. Opening the season for Guilford County Schools will be a real treat and I know that our supporters will pack the Fieldhouse for our first Friday night game on November 22.”

The Swarm’s 50-game schedule consists of 24 home games and 24 road games, as well as two neutral site contests at the annual MGM Resorts NBA G League Winter Showcase. Greensboro’s game information for the Showcase will be announced by the league at a later date.

In total, the 2019-20 slate features 14 home dates that fall on a Friday or Saturday, starting with the Windy City Bulls on Friday, November 22. The next weekend home dates come in December, a back-to-back starting with the Atlanta Hawks’ new affiliate (College Park Skyhawks; Friday, December 13) followed by the Knicks (Saturday, December 14).

The remaining weekend home games come after the new year.

Additional home schedule highlights include a Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday, November 27) matchup against the Maine Red Claws (Boston Celtics), a matinee on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 20) versus the Iowa Wolves (Minnesota Timberwolves) and a Leap Day (Saturday, February 29) contest with the Skyhawks. The Swarm close the campaign with five of its final six games at the Fieldhouse, including the regular-season finale against the Indiana Pacers’ affiliate (Fort Wayne Mad Ants; Saturday, March 28).

Greensboro is a member of the NBA G League’s Eastern Conference. The Swarm, Lakeland Magic (Orlando Magic), Capital City Go-Go (Washington Wizards), BayHawks and Skyhawks all makeup the Southeast Division. Lakeland is the defending division champion.

Fans can now guarantee seats at the Fieldhouse through Season Ticket Memberships, Group Packages, 8-Game Plans or Sgt. Swarm’s Voucher Book. Ticket offerings are available on or by calling 336.907.3600.
