The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced that the team raised more than $14,000 to be donated to local non-profit organizations through activations from six theme jersey nights and statistic-based promotions during the 2023-24 season.

“Giving back to our community with our theme jerseys program and statistic-based promotions through a host of corporate partners will be a constant opportunity at Swarm home games,” said Swarm President Steve Swetoha. “We recognize and thank Novant Health, Blue Ridge Companies, Hudson Automotive, YMCA of Greensboro, Allegacy Federal Credit Union, PNC Bank, Dominos, and Charlotte Hornets Foundation for their ongoing commitment and support for these non-profits. Implementing these creative strategies with our partners raises awareness and funds to support non-profits and their mission to make a meaningful difference in our community.”

The proceeds from theme jerseys totaled more than $7,700 benefiting the following:

  • November 18: Military Night – Garret Torney Foundation
  • December 30: Hornets Takeover – Charlotte Hornets Foundation benefiting the Greensboro Community

Dunks for Hunger, a new activation by Allegacy Federal Credit Union, benefitted Second Harvest Food Bank for every Swarm dunk at home games this season.

Finally, through the newly implemented ‘Swarm Win’ activation, Domino’s donated $500 for each Swarm win at home, totaling $4,000 for a local non-profit.
