Greensboro Swarm Complete Three-Team Trade

The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced that the team has completed a three-team trade with the Erie BayHawks and Northern Arizona Suns.
Greensboro receives forward Roscoe Smith from Erie, Northern Arizona’s first-round pick in the 2018 NBA G League Draft (originally owned by the Delaware 87ers) and Northern Arizona’s second-round pick in the 2018 NBA G League Draft (originally owned by the Windy City Bulls).
Northern Arizona will receive guard Archie Goodwin from Greensboro. Erie receives Greensboro’s first-round pick in the 2018 NBA G League Draft (originally owned by the Wisconsin Herd).
The trade is subject to Smith passing a physical.
Smith (6-8, 205) has appeared in 14 games with the BayHawks this season, averaging 13.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 20.8 minutes per game. The former UNLV standout spent last season with Delaware and the South Bay Lakers, with season averages of 10.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in 21.2 minutes of action in 42 games. Smith played for South Bay in his first season after going undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, recording 19.1 points and 11.0 rebounds in 36.2 minutes 49 games in 2014-15.
Goodwin leaves the Swarm after playing in 40 games over the last two seasons. In seven games this season, the former University of Kentucky product was averaging 17.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 27.3 minutes per game.
Next for the Swarm is the 2018 NBA G League Showcase in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Greensboro will play two games in the showcase, starting with Agua Caliente Clippers on Wednesday, January 10, at the Mississauga SportZone Complex at 4 p.m. ET. Then on Friday, January 12, at 2:30 p.m., the Swarm take on the Texas Legends at Menominee Nation Arena.
