Greensboro Swarm Complete Trade With Iowa Wolves

The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League Affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, today announced that the team completed a trade with the Iowa Wolves. The Swarm acquire the rights to guard Terry Whisnant in exchange for forward L.G. Gill. The trade is subject to a passed physical by Gill.
Whisnant, 25, spent the 2017-18 season playing for BC Beroe in Bulgaria. He spent his first two professional seasons (2015-17) playing for the Wolves, averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 95 games. Collegiately, he played for East Carolina University in 2014-15 after transferring from Florida State (2011-13). He averaged 12.3 points and 2.6 rebounds in his lone season with ECU. Whisnant is a North Carolina native, earning North Carolina Mr. Basketball in 2011 while playing at Cherryville High School.
Gill, 23, spent his lone G League season with the Swarm in 2017-18. In 50 games, he held averages of 6.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 20.2 minutes.
The Swarm open the 2018-19 season on Friday, November 2, at the Wisconsin Herd. The Home Opener is set for Saturday, November 10, against the Grand Rapids Drive at 7 p.m. at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.
