Greensboro Swarm Select Pierre Crockrell II, Lacey James in 2026 NBA G League Draft

October 24, 2026 – The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, today selected guard Pierre Crockrell II and center Lacey James with picks No. 11 and 20, respectively, in the 2026 NBA G League Draft.

Crockrell II (6-0, 180) joins the Swarm having played for three teams: the Austin Spurs, San Diego Clippers and Memphis Hustle during the 2025-26 NBA G League regular season, in which the 26-year-old averaged 5.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists across 21.9 minutes in 18 games (six starts). A graduate of UC Irvine, he also played in three games for the Austin Spurs during the season’s Tip-Off Tournament.

James (6-9, 240), carries four seasons of NBA G League experience, most recently playing in 16 games (seven starts) for the Wisconsin Herd a season ago, in which the 30-year-old averaged 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 18.2 minutes per game. He holds career regular-season averages of 4.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists across 83 games (15 starts).

The pair of first-round picks will join the Greensboro Swarm ahead of its training camp, which opens on Monday.
