By Greensboro Swarm Staff /February 4, 2023

The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced today that the team will host a Faith and Family Game presented by Mount Zion Baptist Church against the Windy City Bulls (Chicago Bulls Affiliate) at the Novant Health Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex on Sunday, February 5, at 4 p.m.

This is the first season that the Swarm have partnered with Mount Zion to host the Faith and Family game, which will be an opportunity to highlight the Greensboro faith communities. The afternoon will include various in-game activations including the Black National Anthem, Lift Every Voice and Sing, on-court recognition for faith leaders during halftime, and several fan experiences for the many members from these faith organizations.

“We look forward to celebrating a special day with our Swarm fans and the many faith communities in the Triad.  We are so thankful for the great team at Mount Zion Baptist Church for their willingness, interest, and collaboration in bringing the community members together to enjoy Swarm basketball here at the Novant Health Fieldhouse,” said Swarm President Steve Swetoha.

“We are grateful for our partnership with the Greensboro Swarm, and we are honored to share the same love and compassion that was given to us,” said Bishop Bryan Pierce Sr., Senior Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

The Swarm and Mount Zion see this game as an opportunity to continue to work together in uplifting the community.
