Hornets Recall Bacon And Graham From Swarm

Charlotte Hornets General Manager Mitch Kupchak announced today that the team has recalled forward Dwayne Bacon and guard Devonte’ Graham from the Greensboro Swarm, the team’s NBA G League affiliate.

The recall concludes the fourth assignment to the Greensboro Swarm in 2018-19 for Dwayne Bacon. In last night’s 109-95 win over the Maine Red Claws, Bacon totaled 19 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes of play. He has appeared in four games for the Swarm, averaging 19.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 32.3 minutes per game. Bacon returns to Charlotte where he has appeared in 17 games averaging 5.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 12.3 minutes per game in his second season with the Hornets. Bacon was selected 40th overall in 2017 NBA Draft by New Orleans and acquired by Charlotte, along with cash considerations, in exchange for Frank Jackson (31st overall) on draft night.

The recall concludes Devonte’ Graham’s fifth assignment to the Greensboro Swarm this season. In last night’s win over the Maine Red Claws at the Greensboro Fieldhouse, Graham totaled 30 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 34 minutes of play. He has appeared in six games for the Swarm, averaging 25.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 34.2 minutes. Among players with five or more appearances this season, Graham’s 25.3 points per game ranks seventh in the G League. Graham returns to the Hornets where he has appeared in 13 games. Graham holds averages 2.9 points and 1.8 assists in 9.2 minutes per game. Charlotte acquired the rights to Graham, the 34th overall selection in the 2018 NBA Draft, from the Atlanta Hawks in a draft night trade.

Bacon and Graham will return to Charlotte and be available to play in tonight’s home game against the Brooklyn Nets at Spectrum Center at 7:00pm ET.
