Hornets Recall Jalen McDaniels & Caleb Martin From Greensboro

Charlotte Hornets President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Mitch Kupchak announced today that the team has recalled forward Caleb Martin and forward Jalen McDaniels from the Greensboro Swarm, the team’s NBA G League affiliate.

Caleb Martin has appeared in three games in his rookie campaign with the Swarm averaging 19.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 blocks in 32.9 minutes per game. The rookie forward returns to the Hornets where he has totaled three appearances averaging 1.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 8.3 min per game. Martin went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft and was signed by the Hornets on Oct. 19.

McDaniels has appeared in five games for the Swarm averaging 18.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.6 minutes per game in his rookie season. The San Diego State product returns to the Hornets where he has appeared in one game totaling two points and a rebound in three minutes of play. McDaniels was drafted with the 52nd overall selection of the 2019 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets.

The recall completes the second G League assignment for McDaniels and the third for Martin in the 2019-20 season. McDaniels and Martin will return to the Hornets prior to this evening’s game against the Chicago Bulls at 7pm at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC.
