PNC Bank Donates $1,000 To Guilford Child Development Via #PNC3Pointer

By Greensboro Swarm Staff /October 5, 2020

Through the relationship between the Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, and PNC Bank, a $1,000 donation will be made to Guilford Child Development, a local nonprofit in Greensboro.

The contribution to GCD stems from a season-long promotion where PNC Bank would donate $3 for every three-point shot a Swarm player makes at home in 2019-20. Due to the cancellation of the NBA G League season on June 4, the Swarm were only able to play 19 of the 24 schedule home games. Nonetheless, PNC stepped up to make the donation to support early childhood education.

Founded in 1967, GCD addresses the educational, health and social needs of the county’s most vulnerable children and families; removing barriers and providing resources to promote family self-sufficiency and positive school outcomes.
