The Greensboro Swarm (6–4), the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, earned a decisive 124–106 victory over the Capital City Go-Go (4–4) on Sunday afternoon at CareFirst Arena. Greensboro controlled the matchup from start to finish, winning every quarter and building a lead as large as 21 points.

Greensboro forward Tidjane Salaün continued his strong early-season form with an efficient 20-point outing, shooting 5-of-8 from the field and 3-of-4 from beyond the arc while adding six rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes. Forward Drew Peterson posted a well-rounded performance of his own, finishing with 16 points, 10 rebounds and a steal, while center PJ Hall delivered a double-double, recording 11 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

Two-way guard KJ Simpson added 19 points, six rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes, attacking the rim consistently and providing stability in the backcourt. Guard Marcus Garrett matched Simpson with 19 points while contributing seven rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes of action. Greensboro’s depth proved pivotal once again, with Keyontae Johnson (13 pts) and Jaylen Sims (10 pts) giving the Swarm valuable scoring support off the bench.

The Swarm came out firing with a 37-point first quarter, taking an early eight-point lead that they would not relinquish. Greensboro continued to generate high-percentage looks around the basket, outscoring Capital City 62–46 in the paint and leveraging 24 offensive rebounds into 18 second-chance points. A 68–52 halftime advantage gave Greensboro full command of the contest.

Capital City made several pushes in the second half, led by a standout 36-point performance from Will Riley, but the Swarm repeatedly answered with timely scoring and defensive stops. Greensboro forced 14 Go-Go turnovers and held Capital City to 43.8% shooting from the field. Center Ibou Badji provided a strong defensive spark with three blocks in 13 minutes, helping Greensboro maintain its grip on the paint.

The Swarm’s balanced offense featured eight players with eight or more points and shot 85.7% from the free-throw line (18-of-21). Greensboro also outscored the Go-Go in fast-break points, 14–9, and matched Capital City with 18 second-chance points, thanks to its relentless pursuit on the glass.

The Greensboro Swarm will head to the nation’s capital on Monday to complete its two-game set versus the Go-Go. It returns to Novant Health Fieldhouse on Dec. 5 and 7 against the Westchester Knicks, with its Dec. 7 date hosting Community Heroes Night – which includes a Swarmy superhero cape to the first 500 fans.
