The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced today that the team has completed a trade with the Westchester Knicks (New York Knicks Affiliate). In the deal, Greensboro has agreed to trade the returning rights of Sterling Brown and acquired M.J. Walker.
Walker, 25, went undrafted in 2021, following a 4-year collegiate career for Florida State where he finished ACC All-Second Team. Walker began his pro career with the Westchester Knicks in 2021. That same season, he earned a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns where he played in two career NBA games. The 6-5 guard has played in a total of 67 NBA G League games with the Westchester Knicks across the 21-22 and 22-23 seasons averaging 12.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.
Walker will join the Swarm on the road as they face off with the South Bay Lakers on Saturday, January 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
