Swarm Select Wiggins And Montana In 2019 NBA G League Draft

The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, today announced the selection of two players in the 2019 NBA G League Draft. With its two picks, Greensboro selected Demajeo Wiggins in the first round (No. 14 overall) and Max Montana in the third round (No. 68).
Wiggins, 22, was a four-year player for Bowling Green State University. The Toledo, Ohio, native started 102 of 129 games with the Falcons, which included averages of 12.5 points and 10.7 rebounds during his senior season. He ranks third in career rebounds (1,066) and tenth in career rebound average (8.3) at the school. Since 1953, Wiggins is one of three players to record at least 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds at BGSU. Wiggins earned All-Mid-American Conference Second Team honors his junior (2018) and senior (2019) seasons.
Montana, 23, spent the 2018-19 playing in Germany with the Hamburg Towers and Giessen 46ers. He averaged 7.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 34 games overseas. The Calabasas, California, native played collegiately at San Diego State University (2016-18) and Indiana University (2014-15). During his final season as an Aztec, Montana averaged 6.9 points and 3.0 rebounds in 26 games.
